For
four week in October 2004 Mike had the first public exhibition
of his work at the Galaria Punto de Encuentro con El Art
in Lanzarote’s capital Arrecife. The show exhibited over
fifty pieces of Mike’s work from the last twenty four years.
Entitled “Hax2004” the exhibition included Abstracts,
images of Africa, where Mike spent a great deal of time, together
with nude and beauty studies. |

Over
three hundred people came to the shows inaugural night and his
first piece was sold with in minutes of opening to the public.
Antonio, the gallery’s owner observed that many of the guests
at the first night, came back with friends and family for a second
viewing during the shows four weeks duration. |

| “In my personal work,
my sole motivation is to be creative and explore a subject in a
way that stimulates me. In turn, I hope that the viewer will look
at the image and be stimulated too. |
|
As I
am taking a picture there are other aspects that contribute to
my creative process besides the light. My mood, the nature of
the subject and the ambience of its location all effect to how
I treat the subject photographically. For the viewer, the stimulation
will be entirely different. Their response will be based on their
immediate reaction and personal response to that image.” |
